Optional Programming
You asked for more—and we're delivering in a big way! Get ready for 12 fabulous hours of interactive sessions, creative classes, and energizing activities, all wrapped up in red and purple.
Each 2-hour time block is bursting with opportunities to celebrate our signature 5 F's: Fun, Friendship, Freedom, Fulfillment, and Fitness!
Think hands-on creative fun, engaging guest speakers, fun (but easy) fitness classes, refreshing personal growth sessions, hobby adventures, and surprises that will keep your hat firmly on with delight. Get your sparkle ready!
Ruby's Marketplace
Every RHS International Convention includes a lively and experiential shopping district. This convention will be no different. We've reimagined this member favorite as Ruby's Marketplace, a shopping experience that combines dozens of vendor booths with varied food entertainment and an agenda to keep you busy from open to close. Come prepared with a spare suitcase; you'll thank us later!
RHS Glee Club
Back by Popular Demand... with a Fabulous Twist! The RHS Glee Club is making a grand return—reimagined, refreshed, and more fun than ever!
Whether you're a polished performer or just love to sing your heart out, we're saving you a spot in the spotlight. So grab your boas, warm up those vocal cords, and get ready to raise the roof in the RHS style!
No professional singing talent required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to SHINE!
Late Night Shenanigans
Want to soak up every moment of convention magic—or maybe you're simply a night owl who thrives after dark? Either way, we've got you covered with late-night fun that keeps the party going!
Join your RHS sisters for a cozy nightcap and grab a chance to karaoke! Have a special talent just waiting to wow the crowd? Bring it to our open mic and shine bright!
You'll love first ladies games, comfy lounge sessions, and plenty of room to keep the after-party vibes flowing. The only thing missing is YOU—so come on, let's make memories well past bedtime!
Sunrise Fitness: Group Yoga & Nature Trails Walking
Start your day the RHS way—with gentle stretching and mindful breathing to awaken your spirit and soothe your body. You're looking pretty at excitement into each day, so don't forget to give yourself some well-deserved REST.
Join us in the fresh air of our outdoor covered pavilion for one—or all three—energizing, instructor-led sunrise yoga sessions. Celebrate each new day feeling refreshed and ready to sparkle. And here's a little extra: you can pre-order a special RHS-branded yoga mat to take your practice —and your style—to the next level!
Special Interest & Small Group Meet-and-Greets
With hundreds of members attending convention, getting to know new faces can be challenging. But small groups make it easier to meet sisters with something in common. Special interest events are planned for first time convention attendees, gutsy gals (solo travelers), international members, pinkies, ambassadors, and social butterflies. If you're affiliated with one of these groups, keep an eye out for your special invitation.

August Weather in San Antonio
In August, San Antonio typically experiences hot days with temperatures ranging from a high of 100°F (38°C) to a low of 76°F (24°C). The weather often feels hot but breezy, so most people dress for outdoor activities in light clothing. August is also the driest month of the year, with only a 9% chance of rain on any given day and an average of 0.12 inches (3.0 mm) of precipitation. Sunrise usually occurs around 7:01 AM, and sunset is at approximately 8:13 PM. Humidity levels average 57 percent, which many find comfortable. Please keep in mind that indoor meeting room temperatures and personal comfort preferences can vary widely. Meeting rooms are generally kept between 68°F and 72°F. For your comfort during sessions, we strongly recommend bringing a sweater.

How do I register and what is the procedure?
The preferred way to register is online, as it is the fastest and most cost-effective option. Each participating member must use a unique email address and complete their own individual registration form. Online registrations require a credit card for payment. If a member is unable to register online or prefers to pay by check, a paper registration form may be printed and mailed with full payment. Please note that paper registration forms cannot be processed with credit cards. All paper forms must be accompanied by a check and are processed in the order they are received. Be aware that some activities or selections may sell out before your paper form is processed. While our Red Hat Society Travel vacation consultants are happy to provide details about the 2026 RHS International Convention, they are not able to take registrations by phone.

Why are we using a priority registration timeline?
We know many of you are eager to register, and we're just as excited to welcome you! This year, we're introducing a phased registration process for a few important reasons: Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prepare for an unforgettable celebration of sisterhood!
- LIMITED CAPACITY, UNLIMITED EXCITEMENT This will be our first international convention in seven years, and space is limited. Opening registration in waves helps ensure a smooth, high-quality experience for everyone attending.
- PRIORITY ACCESS FOR KEY GROUPS Certain groups such as RHS Travel alumni, convention VIPs, interest list members, Queens, and Ambassadors will receive early access. It's our way of showing appreciation for your continued support and involvement.
- ORGANIZED PLANNING AND LOGISTICS A staggered registration process allows us to better manage hotel accommodations, event coordination, and member support. Our goal is to make your experience seamless from the moment you register.
- FAIRNESS AND TRANSPARENCY By clearly outlining the timeline and order of access, everyone knows what to expect and when. This approach helps ensure fairness while keeping the process easy to follow.
Am I required to stay at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa for the Red Hat Society International Convention?
Yes. Because this is an official Red Hat Society group travel event, all reservations must be made through Red Hat Society Travel. Your hotel stay is automatically included in your convention package, and the number of nights depends on the package you choose — whether it's the full convention only, Bonus Tours Day, or the Queen's Retreat. You're welcome to add extra nights to your stay, but hotel nights cannot be removed from any convention package. All convention registrations must include the full program and resort hotel accommodations as designed. Thank you for your understanding as we work to ensure a smooth and joyful experience for every guest.
How do I make my hotel reservation with the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa?
For 2026, all hotel reservations will be handled directly through Red Hat Society Travel as part of your convention registration. Three nights of hotel accommodations (Monday, August 10 through Thursday, August 13) are automatically included in every registration package. If you register for the Queen's Retreat or Bonus Tours Day, your additional hotel nights will be included as part of those packages. A special RHS convention rate has also been negotiated for members who would like to add extra nights to their stay. Please do not contact the resort directly to inquire about availability or reservations. All hotel arrangements must go through Red Hat Society Travel.
Can I use my World of Hyatt points to make reservations for the convention?
Guests who want to redeem World of Hyatt points for your convention accommodations, must book their room directly on the Hyatt website. Please be aware that our discounted group rates are private; as such, they are not visible on the public website. Unfortunately, the only hotel rates you can book through the website are the publicly available rates. While it is possible to use your points to book your room, it would not be at our discounted group rates. It would be at the rates available to the general public. If you can find public rates on the World of Hyatt website that allows points redemption, you are more than welcome to use your points for that.
Is there a roommate matching program to help pair me with another RHS member to save on the hotel cost?
Yes, we're happy to help you connect with others who are also looking for a roommate. While we cannot make the match for you due to privacy and liability rules, you can join the official convention Facebook group and post there if you're interested in sharing a room. This is a great way to meet fellow RHS members or even invite a friend who might be ready to join the Society. Once you and your prospective roommate agree on the details, you can register and reserve your package together. To join the convention Facebook group, visit: https://www.facebook.com/groups/668466195955837
What does my registration fee cover?
Your registration fee includes a full itinerary of exciting convention events and activities. It covers: • Three general session meals • One afternoon coffee break • 1960s Western Night dinner and dance party • 1970s Disco Night dinner and dance party • 1980s Gala Formal Night dinner and dance party • Three late-night after party events • Twelve hours of programming, classes, and activities (six blocks total) • Three sunrise yoga fitness sessions • Eighteen hours of shopping time in Ruby's Marketplace • A special commemorative gift item In addition, three nights of hotel accommodations (Monday, August 10 through Thursday, August 13) are automatically added to every registration package. Please note: Bonus Tours Day, Queen's Retreat, optional tours, and the SeaWorld pirate party are not included in the base package. These experiences are available for an additional cost.
What meals are included in my convention registration?
For full convention attendees, the following meals are included:
- Monday: Brunch and dinner
- Tuesday: Brunch and dinner
- Wednesday: Brunch and dinner
How do I redeem a Red Hat Society Travel discount code?
If you received a discount code by responding to our SurveyMonkey in the fall of 2024, be sure to enter it on your registration form at the time of submission. Please note:
- Discount codes cannot be applied retroactively after your registration has been processed
- Be sure to submit your registration before the expiration date of October 12, 2025
Plan ahead so you don't miss out on your special savings!
What is the parking rate at the resort?
For attendees driving to the convention, the self-parking rate is $15 per day, per vehicle. This special rate is available only to registered RHS attendees and must be pre-paid through Red Hat Society Travel.
What about Red Hatters with disabilities?
The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa meets or exceeds all requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). All hotel facilities including meeting spaces, restrooms, dining areas, common areas, and guest rooms are reasonably accessible and usable by guests with special needs. A limited number of ADA-modified guest rooms are available and can be reserved only through Red Hat Society Travel vacation consultants at (866) 5-RED-HAT [866-573-3428]. Please let us know about any accessibility needs or requirements when you complete your registration. Your comfort and enjoyment are very important to us.
Will there be merchandise for sale at the convention?
Yes, Ruby's Marketplace will offer at least 18 hours of shopping time during the convention. In addition, there will be a complete online store available for pre-ordering Red Hat Society and convention-themed merchandise for pickup at registration.
How does the payment plan work?
To register, an initial non-refundable deposit of $250 is required. Instead of paying the full amount at registration, you may choose to pay only this deposit and set up a monthly payment plan for the remaining balance. The total cost of your convention package, minus the $250 deposit, will be divided into 10 monthly payments due on the 15th of each month, starting September 15, 2025, and ending June 15, 2026. You will receive a reminder email three days before each payment is due. Payments will be automatically charged to your credit card on file on the due date. Automatic payments will begin on the due date but may take up to 48 hours to complete. You can pay your balance in full or speed up your payment schedule at any time. Your full payment must be completed by June 15, 2026. If a payment is missed, cancelled, or your card is declined, your registration may be cancelled. All processed payments are non-refundable. If you purchased optional vacation protection or travel insurance, you may be able to file a claim for these non-refundable payments if you cancel for a covered reason.
What if I need to cancel my convention registration?
When you provide your credit card for payment and digitally sign the authorization, you confirm that you have read and understood the booking conditions from MAJC LLC/Cruise Differently LLC (doing business as Red Hat Society Travel), including the payment policy and schedule. Vacation protection or travel insurance is available and strongly recommended for peace of mind. All payments are non-refundable once processed. However, your payment is transferable to a new reservation until July 1, 2026. This means if you need to cancel, you can find another Red Hat Society member to take over your reservation without penalty. You will handle the payment arrangements with the new traveler directly, as we cannot manage that for you. If you cancel after July 1, 2026, or cannot find a member to take over your reservation by that date, you may be able to file a claim with your travel insurance if you purchased it and your reason for cancellation is covered.
I want to add cancellation and travel insurance to my registration. How can I do that? Or I do not want optional travel insurance. Can I decline this service?
Our convention planning team and travel consultants take great care to ensure your registration and travel arrangements go smoothly. However, we understand that sometimes unexpected events happen beyond anyone's control. Because of this, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself and your plans. We offer third-party insurance through Allianz, underwritten by Jefferson Insurance Company. After you register, an insurance quote will be sent automatically by email. You can get full details and purchase options by contacting your Red Hat Society Travel vacation consultant. You have the choice to accept or decline this optional coverage. If you decide to decline, you will be asked to sign a waiver stating you accept full financial responsibility for any losses related to your travel plans. This waiver also confirms you will not hold The Red Hat Society, Inc. or MAJC LLC/Cruise Differently LLC (doing business as Red Hat Society Travel) liable for any issues that may arise.
